Quad Elements - Shell Analysis - Karamba

Hi all,

I was wondering if it is possible to have Quad Elements in my analysis with Karamba.
If I input Mesh Surface (U V input) I get a quadrangular Mesh, as it can be seen in the picture.

Once I connect this mesh to Mesh to Shell (Karamba) from the info panel it can be seen that Number of quads split to trangles: 400. And also the visualization of the result is made by Triangular elements (picture).

I was wondering if it is possible not to split my Quad elements into Triangular Elements. And have the result calculated with Quad elements.

Best regards,
Marina

Hi Marina,
in Karamba3D 1.3.1 shell calculations are based on triangular elements only. There are currently no quad elements available.

May I ask if the Karamba3D 3.0.1 is still calculating according to the triangular elements only?

yes it is only using triangulated elements.
