Python3 script parameter breaks printing (8.3.23354.09002)

It seems that when using a text input (and a file on disk) in the script input parameter as opposed to running the script using the internal code editor, printing i.e print('x') does not work.
This makes it tough to debug scripts.
A grasshopper file is attached that highlights the issue.

My SystemInfo:

Rhino 8 SR3 2023-12-20 (Rhino 8, 8.3.23354.09002, Git hash:master @ 235baa4e9ef85abea58956ee7ff4a477d53a4188)

Apple macOS Version 14.2 (Build 23C64) (Physical RAM: 24Gb)
Mac Model Identifier: Mac14,7
Language: en-US (MacOS default)
.NET 7.0.0

Wondering about a workaround and Iā€™d like to flag this as a bug.
Thanks,
T
