i just want to check my G-code files before printing. So i asked Claude to help me write a Python script to import my G-code files (coming from Orca and S3D) ask me for the Nozzle size and show me the path either in Mesh Quality or as a pipe - without showing the travels.
If somebody is interested i can share the PythonScript.
I would be interested to see how the script works. I often have to create toolpaths in Rhino for various engineering tasks. I know is sounds strange… but that is life.
I had asked once about applying colors to different segments of a polyline for this type of application. Then you could use colors to show the speed or extrusion setting. I think it was put on the ‘todo’ list. Maybe in V9 that will be possible.
