example:
If all the objects of a particular layer are locked, and I select that layer and choose to select the objects of that layer, the command prompt says nothing about all the potential objects that are locked, not being selected.
This leads the user to believe the layer is empty.
It also appears I’m not even getting the prompt that "objects are on layers that are locked’. – under another particular scenario. Which can also lead user to believe layers empty.
I’m trying to remember where I’m used to seeing the “objects are on layers that are locked” prompt
Rather in these two scenarios described above, the user is prompted with nothing other than “no objects added to selection” – in those cases.
So, when objects are locked and user tries to select layer objects, the prompt could say something in addition to “objects are locked, etc.”
And under the other scenario, the prompt could say something in addition to “objects are on layer that’s locked, etc” “so therefore cant select, or something”
It might be helpful if the prompt said something other than “no objects added to selection”. Just my $0.02. k back ta work, bbl
