_projectToCPlane
has a bug. (as far as i can judge)
attached document has a free cplane.
projecting the blue edge of a revolve (subselect) I get the red curve.
I would expect the green curve

_setPt

@Gijs thanks for a test - bug report
or explain what I misunderstood - due to the temperature ?

thanks a lot.

This is not really allowed…
But, I get the expected curve here in our latest.

more than

or more than

???

thanks for having a look.
kind regards - tom

Hi Tom,

I see this error in the same-dated Windows version too, provided you project the sub-selected black surface edge. If you project the blue curve the result is correct.

@pascal: might you have projected the blue curve instead of the sub-selected surface edge?

Regards
Jeremy

Yep, I got the same result as @Tom_P.

I am clearly defective - I’ll have another look

I’ve logged RH-75703 ProjectToCplane fails on Edge

I dunno, kids, here’s what I see:

Am I daft?

-Pascal

looks like you are projecting the surface instead of the SubSelected edge of the surface?

Nope, the subselected edge of the surface is being projected. DeleteInput=Yes
Have not yet been able to get the other thing…

-Pascal

@pascal What I don’t get from your images is that the surface is moving away from the blue curve, that’s why I thought you were projecting the surface.
Or wait… DeleteInput = yes does that. Try = no

Got it.
