What is the reason for the “loose” option under the options of the “project curve or control point” command? What is its use?
it keeps the curve as simple as possible.
run it once with loose= on, or off and compare the point counts on each curve
So it can be said that their difference is in the number of control points
Hi Mehran - theLoose option maintains the structure of the input curve in the projected curve, at the possible expense of accuracy - that is, the resulting curve may not lie within tolerance of the target object. Otherwise the curve is refit until it is within tolarance of the target - this can mean a lot more complexity is introduced to the curve compared to the input.
