Problems with pipe variable tool

I am a beginner in grasshopper.
I was just trying out some stuff and i ran into this problem with pipe variable tool where it gave out some abnormal results. I cant seem to wrap my head around what went wrong here. Can someone help me out?

Sorry but i still cant understand what caused the problem :sweat_smile:
Was it because of the curve degree?
