First project (finally) with V8. Opening a small file (12,6 MB) - or even an empty, new model can take up to 5 minutes. V7 is ok.

Does disabling the 3rd party plug-in and restarting Rhino make a difference?
Is this file-specific?
Are you saving and opening files from the local disk or from a network or cloud location?

I didn’t realise I had any 3rd party plug-in - haven’t installed any… but now I see that I have Twinmotion Direct Link 
That must have been copied from my V7 installation. I should have noticed… 
It’s not file-specific and I’m saving and opening from the local disk.
I now disabled Twinmotion, restarted - and opening the same files seems indeed to be back to normal. However… V7 didn’t have any problems with Twinmotion. I wonder why?
