Problem validating license on second workstation

Hi There,

I am attempting a second installation of a standalone license. I could be wrong but I am under the impression that this is ok as long as both workstations will not be running rhino simultaneously.

The error code (914) is stating that my license is registered under a different e-mail address. In that I am the sole user and performed the original installation, I can’t see how the registered e-mail address could have changed.

I have tried all possible e-mail addresses that I could have used during the first installation. Is there a way to check for the details of the registered owner to make sure I am entering the correct info?

I would really like to get Rhino on my shop PC so I have it close to my CNC.

Thanks in advance for any help or guidance!

You can skip the registration part and just validate, there’s as I recall some small type with the option to do that. Otherwise, you’ll have to contact McNeel support directly with your key(don’t post it here!)

Thanks Jim,

I did try bypassing the registration segment with no luck. I will try McNeel support next.

Hello - Please email tech@mcneel.com with your V5 key (do not post it here) and the email address you would like to use to validate. Licenses are only associated with one email address from here on.

So what are the implications of this policy on people who, for one reason or another, need to give up their email address for a new one?

Pascal,

Thank you for pointing me in the right direction. The e-mail is on its way.

A phone call or e-mail to tech support with the new address?
