I’ve not had this problem before that I know of. I have done a file
left-doorV7.3dm (153.3 KB)
and then exported it as dxf and the curves that were closed are no longer closed in
left-door-V7-dxf.dxf (269.2 KB)
I haven’t changed anything that I have done before. The reason these are V7 is because I thought it was a V8 issue but I get the same result either way. So is there some setting that I’m getting wronb?
After I am sure all the curves are closed, I use the convert command, and then the CAM imperial settings. Why would the curves not be continuous in the dxf file.
thanks,
Joe
make sure to use a dxf scheme where explode polycurves is not checked.
this scheme was a copy of “imperial” with the “explode polycurve” option unchecked.
lefft_door_tp.dxf (130.2 KB)
if this does not help, post a screenshots of the dxf export curves - setting.
after _convert to lines and arcs you want “Polyline w / Bulge arcs”
hope this helps - kind regards -tom
Many, many thanks. I found I had not unchecked the explode polycurve. Seems to be working now.
I don’t know if this has been a problem before. Sometimes folks I send these things to don’t bother to tell me when they have issues, they just work around them. This time the fellow asked if I couldn’t fix it. I’m glad to keep learning.
