Problem control point modelling in Rhino SubD on Mac

Some control points in my model are not in coincidence with the SubD wires. When trying to move these points with the mouse or keyboard entry they take off in a seemingly random direction causing a distortion of the model - usually in a sharp peak formation.
This started happening after I updated to Version 8 (8.21.25188.17002, 12625-07-07) and is consistent on a Mac running Ventura and another running Sequoia 15.6

Top image shows some points on the SubD wires - others not.

Second image shows result after moving points -50mm in x axis

Third image shows selected points to move (Red arrow indicator). In this case the points were aligned on the SubD wires

I downloaded Rhino 8 again and created this basic shape in a new file. Then I moved the control points in the x axis as shown in the second image. The points are not moving evenly.

This occurs in on an Intel Mac running Ventura and it occurs on a Mac mini with M4 chip. It also occurs in the WIP version of Rhino 9. It also occurs on earlier versions of the model that were functioning without problems until now.

Any suggestion how to solve this issue would be greatly appreciated.

It appears the issue is not version related. I restored this version from a backup disk: Version 8 (8.2.23346.13002, 12023-12-12) and the issue is still there.

Hi tgra -

Could you please post a .3dm file?
