Print Display Scale

Dear all

The appearance of Lines in Rhino 8 is perfect. The following would make the experience even better:

1. PrintDisplay Scale always resets itself when reopening a file. Could that be saved for the file?
2. Is there an option to set the PrintDisplay Scale for one file. We mainly use drawings with a single layout scale (only sometimes we have various scales). So we could specify the “scale” of the drawing which would be used by PrintDisplay-Scale.

That would require a change to the 3dm file format, so that would be something for a future version of Rhino.

I’m not completely understanding the request. I take it you are talking about the width of curves, not scaling the lengths of segments of different linetypes?
Also, you mention layouts - there is no scaling option in PrintDisplay for layouts.

Have you looked into using real units as width in the new-in-Rhino 8 linetypes? Using those, you shouldn’t need to have to worry about PrintDisplay anymore.

Lineweight PrintDisplay changes Rhino 8 vs Rhino 7

Hi snak - Before version 8, Rhino wasn’t able to display curves in other units than pixels. It’s still possible to have curves be drawn in a constant number of pixels, regardless of the zoom level. In fact, that’s the default. It’d help a lot if you could tells us what you are trying to achieve. -wim
