That’s the Custom Preview (WIP) component, which was a hidden prototype rather than a finished feature, Andy has the details over in Martin’s thread..

Custom Preview (WIP) - Transform input?

As I mentioned, I didn’t make the change so I don’t exactly know what or why the Transform input was added. As I mentioned, I believe this component was a prototype for a re-write of the Custom Preview component, but it wasn’t completely working in all cases which is why it was still in the hidden state.
