Preferences display mode bug?

I am having trouble setting transparency in Ghosted Display mode.

Up to 59% transparency, it works well, from 60% and up it goes into Wireframe mode.

This is 35% …

This is 59% …

This is 60% …

Thoughts?

I’m not able to reproduce this. Can you please attach the file where this is happening?

Hi Dan, works fine here at home on both WIP & 5.1. I will see again when back at the office next Tuesday.

I remember having the same type of issue with Picture Frame transparency like this.

I may be the video card on my work iMac, if I remember correctly.

Happy weekend!

Was that a 5K iMac?

No, it is a AMD 4770 I believe, not at the office today, one version off from the AMD Radeon HD 6970M replacement program from Apple.

It has always been glitchy. It’s a mid 2011 27" iMac.
Thanks!

Good morning @dan

It is still happening here on my work iMac. The transparency changes at 60%. First the screenshots then computer info.

Ghosted Issue-1 RG.3dm (1.1 MB)

Thanks. Unfortunately, I’m still not seeing the behavior on my MBP…but I believe you.

Hardware model: MacPro2,1

This is what you have at home?! :astonished: Lucky

We still don’t have a MacPro in our testing pool. Perhaps it’s time to pony up and get one …

Despite all that, I trust you’re seeing what you’re seeing. I’m logging this for future investigation once we can reproduce it.

It wasn’t happening here at home before, but it was yesterday when I opened that model. I will do some more testing.

The benefit of having some friends that do video editing, I sometimes get a chance for hand-me-downs.

Even with El Capitan I get the display problem using the transparency to 60%. Wip I installed 5.2 and 5.1 normal
