Post creation Manipulation of a pipe

I have a pipe created that I would like to make scale changes to at a point midway between the ends. What is a simple way to add some control to the object at a desired point.

Hi James - make your pipe from a Sweep1 of some circles around a curve - with History on. Then scale the circles as needed.
