Possible to not freeze the current session when editing a block?

Sometimes I find I’d like to copy/paste things out of the parent file when editing an inserted block via double clicking… So usually I open another session and have to browse to the block file.

There might be an option for this but I’m not seeing it anywhere. Possible?

No. A second session is the right approach.
Rhino for Windows is not a multiple document application. You can only have one file open in a session at one time. The BlockEdit tool does a little trickery to do what it does.

Sort of. That’s the trickery I alluded to.
The bottom line is if you want to be able to edit two 3dm files at the same time, you need two sessions of Windows Rhino.

OK well you can consider this a V6 request then I guess. If you’re opening another session I obviously don’t completely understand why the parent file has to be frozen. Couldn’t you just lock the block in question and leave the originating session how it was?
