I think it would be very helpfull with a shorter version of this video created on Rhino 8 for Mac OS The icon-editing in the end is VERY different and sometimes Rhino 8 crashes (on Mac OS), if you try to make a copy of a tool from a toolbar (by using this exact method) while a command is active.
Any chance you could look into the issue where Rhino on Mac OS crashes when you copy a command from and to a toolbar, while being in an active command?
@Erazmataz I looked into it yesterday and made Rhino crash, but nothing that I could reproduce at will. That report is sent to our crash tracker. It’s helpful if you send crash reports when this happens. And like Kyle mentioned, if you have steps to reproduce this issue that’s even better. We’ve solved a few of these toolbar crash bugs the last few weeks. If we can reproduce the crash it will be handled with high priority.
Hi @Gijs
This is how you can CRASH Rhino 8 SR20 on macOS every time: 1) TurnOn UseCommandOptionsDialogue in Options. 2) Restart Rhino 8 SR20. 3) Turn the MainToolbar on again if you’ve lost it. 4) Drag’n’drop a copy of any tool from ANY toolbar to the Standard-Toolbar in the top, or any other toolbar AFAIK. // Tim
@Erazmataz thanks. I could not reproduce the crash in 8.22, where 2 of those issues were fixed. I’ll send you a download link to the latest internal in case you want to try that out. (For testing, it is not necessary to first install this version, simply download the installer, and double click to launch it)
