Points not interpolating with the correct guide?

Hi gang,
im looking to join a bunch of points to my desired curve. there were duplicates of points, which I’ve culled. However when I interpolate, the sequence is not quite what I’m looking for. Any idea how to " guide " the points along a curve will be much appreciated !
