Hi,
Working in a large file I noticed that suddenly the display feedback stops when moving a point and the cursor tooltip shows the null icon which makes it appear to the user the command has nowhere to snap to. I then found if I use the shift key to constrain to ortho the move can be completed and I can again see feedback in the viewport. In general I am finding the snap settings are maybe too strong and the feedback of the geometry is not as consistent as V5 currently is for moving points and modeling/snapping. Especially this move points thing and using rectangle vertical I noticed this null cursor where I never see that in V5 and I always see the geometry it never disappears like it’s doing now. I see a new wip is downloaded maybe it’s fixed?

I’m wondering if this has to do with the Cplane or view. Any chance you can provide the 3dm and indicate what you’re moving? Screenshots gathered with Print Screen would also be helpful. I’ve been unable to reproduce this here so far.
Hi Brian,
It just happened in this larger file but I haven’t come up across it again but I did notice it distinctly since it was different than the feedback display in V5 with the null cursor appearing.
I’ll save the file next time I run across it and take screen grabs, these are larger files than I’m used to working with now that my hardware can handle it. I must say Rhino V6 is pretty stable I worked with 700 meg file and no crashing.
Thanks,
RM
