Where is the point edit command or insert knot command?

InsertKnot should be in the PointEdit toolbar. There is no PointEdit command, what are you looking for with that?

The Help link above was for Mac. I have no idea what the page in the book says, but there is no PointEdit command in Rhino for Windows or Mac. You can turn on control points (PointsOn - in many locations) and move them around with the mouse or any other transformation/displacement method in Rhino.
