Hi,
I need to save this layout with alpha channel (white transparent)
I have set all my details with alpha (variants of Artic shader)
Is it possible or is a Rhino 8 missing feature?
Best regards.

Try ViewCaptureToFile
command.
Thanks.
Unfortunately it doesn’t work for layouts, the layout background remains grey.
Hi Gabriel,
Could you clarify what file format you want to save in? Edit: duh, it’s in the post title, isn’t it! Sorry.
Could you post a simple Rhino file with one cube in it and a layout showing top and perspective details of the cube, with settings mimicking those you are using to get your layout? My brain is old and tired and works better when it has something tangible to wrestle with…

Hi Jeremy,
I simulated the output with Photoshop.
I need the alpha channel of the layout. The empty (white) area must be the alpha channel saving a png image.
In Photoshop I deleted the white background but I could not maintain the white fills of the various elements.

Gabriele
How about setting the layout background to a colour that doesn’t appear in your illustrations, so that Photoshop can distinguish it from the white fills in the models. Bright orange worked for me! This idea breaks down if you have ground plane shadows though…
