Please Fix This [Rounding Error]

Not to start any argument but just to chip in my thoughts about user education.

I don’t think a traditional education program @ShynnSup in the sense of tutorials or articles are attractive or effective for a “lay-person” oriented software design paradigm.

Similar to what @DavidRutten suggested in his GH2 snapshot, a more effective way of user education is to progressive give hints and instructions to a user as they try out the software. This is very common in game design where the game mechanics are progressively shown to a user as the user get-in-touch of more components of the game and increasing complexity.

I think the ZUI popup that we all saw at some point in our lives, are good and effective means of user education. The countdown for the dismiss button is also very nicely designed from a game mechanics point of view. Most computer users are too conditioned to click dismiss for a tool tip pop-up without reading it.

Indeed. You are right. I referred to an education program generically. It can very well consist on hints for the users.
