Hello here 
I have a problem with the plan view and some intersecting meshes
On the left the plan in the rhino viewport in hidden mode working as expected, on the right the same plan but generated by PlanView tool with some strange behavior.
Also, i have only the text outlines whith PlanView
Any idea ? These objects are meshes properly generated by grasshopper, they are all the same.

Hi @flavien.bessiere can you share that 3dm file? it would be easier to figure out what’s happening.
2D plan views can’t generate texts as texts but curves (text outlines). That’s a known limitation that we are pending to improve in future versions.

I can see that the geometry that is not generated properly in plan views is a closed mesh. Even though it says it’s a closed mesh, if you explode it, you will get interior faces in the closed volume, which may affect this issue. I’ll report it to the development team.
If you can reconstruct the mesh without these interior faces or replace that mesh with a closed polysurface, I’m sure you won’t have that issue.

I was looking on my side too and found that if I don’t join the mesh with the Grasshopper mesh join component it’s working in plan view.
The final mesh was generated by joining 4 mesh box that are just scaled and moved.
The thing I have found strange is the difference between viewport and planview.

Hi @flavien.bessiere I’m glad to inform you we have fixed this issue in VisualARQ 3.3. Now, texts that are not occluded by other objects are generated as texts in plan and section views. You can download the 3.3 update here: Update - VisualARQ
