Give your spacebar a break! The latest Rhino WIP has a new feature called Instant Aliases. What is an Alias? An Alias is a keyboard shortcut that is configured to run certain Rhino commands. Traditionally, in Rhino 8 and previous versions, you needed to press the Alias + Enter to make it work. I also wanted to point out that we have a test command in Rhino 8 called
TestInstantAlias
which will let you set different aliases as “instant”. It isn’t nearly as full featured as what is being worked on in Rhino 9, but it would let you get back the ability to have unadorned single key shortcuts.
