Hi everyone, I’m Filippo from Silicon Mtn. We’re looking for Rhino and Grasshopper users around the Bay Area who enjoy geometry, routing and optimization problems.
We’re running a 48-hour Maritime Dual-Use Hackathon in San Francisco, October 16–18. Piping Layout Optimization is one of the three challenges, and it’s the reason I thought of this community. Rhino and Grasshopper are not required tools, and McNeel is not an event sponsor. The other challenges are OT Cybersecurity & Blast Radius Analysis and Software-Defined Vessel.
The organizers are Silicon Mtn, Fincantieri, Fincantieri Marine Group and Mind the Bridge, with Qualcomm and Arduino as main technology sponsors. Each member of the winning team receives a Qualcomm-powered laptop.
Beyond the weekend, there’s a selective Venture Track with six weeks of free acceleration with Fincantieri, or an opt-in Scouting Track offering access to partners’ hiring processes.
You can apply solo or with a team of up to five. Details and applications Maritime Dual-Use Hackathon · Luma
