I’ve started using OneView alot, I find it really helpful, I dont have to switch between viewports as much anymore.
So much so that I actually don’t know which viewport/cplane I am working in. That is not a problem, it’s even a good thing. That in itself doesn’t really matter for me.
However some functions such as Align are oriented towards a specific ‘North’-point* in the viewport. For example if I snap the viewport 180 degrees upside down, the blue label will still say ‘Top’ but Align Top will now allign everything to the bottom.
(*could’nt think of a better name, is there a better name?)
My suggestion/request is to rotate the label together with the viewport, as in the screenshots below, so that there is a reference how to orient the view to use these functions properly.
Even better would be if the ‘North’-point would reset when the view is rotated 90 degrees, but it might be technically more difficult or cause other problems. I dont know.
Another suggestion is that the blue label could remain visible at all times, even if you are snapped to an orthogonal view. I would really find this helpful to remind me I am in the perspective viewport.
