I want to create perspective elevations from my 3D-model in scale (camera perpendicular to building facades, the surface of the elevation in scale). Can somebody explain to me the workflow to do that? I managed to scale the detail view to fit the scale (more or less). But doing so detail view perimeter was cropped and whenever I drag the frame, the perspective rescales…
Scaled perspective views don’t exist so scaling by hand is the best you can do.
First I would orient the camera perpendicular to the selected elevation with OrientCameraToSrf. Then save this view with the NamedView command and add it to a layout. Here, scale it to the preferred size and lock it. You can manage the crop of your detail views by selecting them on the layout and moving their control points with the PointsOn command.
Keep in mind that dimensions don’t work with perspective views so you’re going to need to add those manually as well.
That’s how I tried it. See attached video…the perspective is in scale (the surface of the facade). As soon as I drag the control points it scales again…
