Per Viewport Section Attributes

Referring to threads and discussions about Clipping in Rhino 8.

May the Visual ARQ team consider creating some coherent system of displaying elements differently depending on the Viewport? I’m not sure how this type of thing will work in Rhino 8, so far the section system in Visual ARQ seems to have a better foundation. I would like to have an easy system in which I could, depending on Modeling Viewport, or at least Detail Viewport, set whether a given element will be clipped and what Section Attributes it will have.

And I would add a per detail layer state option, please.

Hi @Czaja and @jerry.bakowski,

We will take this into account for future development.

I think this should be implemented by McNeel…

@alfmelbev, can I ask something? Are you Asuni guys ever sitting down together with McNeel to debate development strategies? Like: we are planning this and that, does that suit your roadmap… Users are asking for things, we need some foundations being laid by you… etc.
Because if you don’t - maybe you should.
After all, by the address in Barcelona, you seem to even sit under one roof.

Hi @Eugen,

Yes, we are in touch with the McNeel team and we share the office with McNeel Europe. We make requests to them and discuss with them so that we can keep developing our software but it is also important that you, as users, request to them what you need from Rhino so that they know the importance of those tools for the people using the software. This is the reason why when I see something which should be done by McNeel I encourage you to report it directly to them.
