And if we can paint all the side differently?

There is no way to choose a different material just for the sides of a wall. What you could do is to show the interior wall layer, making the outside ones very thin and avoiding that they wrap. But don’t think this would be a good idea.
Have you tried to change the Wall joint values? To view this options select both walls at the same time:
