Page orientation when creating new Layout

This is very strange. If I create a new Layout and name it, then change the orientation from Portrait to Landscape, the page dims change but the Layout is created in Portrait. If I change the orientation, first, then name it, it works as it should. I have tried clicking on other items in the dialog box to see if the change of orientation did not “take” but that does not help.

Is this normal?

Hello - It seems to work here - I click + on the viewport tabs, and in the dialog, I first name my layout and then switch between portrait and landscape, then without doing anything else, hit OK - the layout is oriented as I asked - that is what does not work for you, correct?

Exactly what does not work. It’s very consistent, too. If I do not name the layout, it works. If I delete the layout and create a new one, it behaves the same way.
I suppose that this is normal, but if I change the orientation after the Layout is created, the viewport rectangle remains in the old orientation.

I just tried it in Rhino 5. Works fine. Just not in 6.
(6.25.20114.5271, 4/23/2020) I knew you would ask.

Yes, this is expected but not the original complaint,… can you run SystemInfo in Rhino and post the results? It’s always good to look for plug-ins that might be getting in the way.

No help in the SystemInfo, I guess?

Hm. No. I see BoltGen but I’d be shocked if that is getting its oar into Layouts. Can you try the V7 WIP and see if that behaves similarly?

It works in 7 WIP. I think. I tried with a new model and with an existing model that had 4 Layouts, already. Here’s the SystemInfo:
Of course, BoltGen in not installed. I seem to recall that it wasn’t guaranteed to work with Rhino 6 so I’m not super confident that it won’t break the WIP.
