Page Layout Tools

I know that it takes a lot of effort to make this available but I’m always feeling Rhino layout like a uncompleted feature compared to Solidwork and similar. The detail management is cumbersome and very unfriendly for product designer.

The clipping plane aren’t really integrated with the detail views and the section tools are only working on the modeling space. ( Why architects love to have this huge messy drawings is something I never understood)

My wish would be to keep the 3D model clean from the documentation and manage all the documentation option directly from the layout

Maybe it could be proposed/assigned to who is in charge of layout?

Is there also an option for aligning objects inside details? So the detail frames are kept neat on the page?

Will these features be implemented in Rhino?

As I mentioned earlier, I would really need to revise all scripts if they ever want to make a chance getting into Rhino. What I know for sure is that I won’t be able to work on any of this for Rhino 9

Brother I do this by having a clean 3-D model for design and fabrication modelling and then I link it into another project for documentation so you always have a clean model and then a layout model. It does have some issues though particularly if you’re using visual Arc linked blocks etc. Sometimes have performance issues and printing issues.

Thanks, it’s a great workaround.

…Still a workaround. Maybe @rajaa could consider this now that we have the integrated section tool.

It would be very useful for architects as well.
