I have an issue with an OSnap in XRAY mode. Indeed, the midpoint snap is not detected in XRAY mode.
Is there a new control to disable snap “thru faces of objects” ?
It works in Wireframe mode. See video.

Hi JeanP - XRay is a ‘shaded’ mode so edges away from the camera count as ‘occluded’ and follow the setting in Options >Modelng aids > Snap to occluded objects. I see that this seems backwards in this case- I don’t know if it can be made into a special case by the picker, but I guess it makes sense that it should.
