In the new updates of rhino 7 and 8, osnap and planar tools aren’t working the way they used to do
Rhino 8 is a total disaster for example 2 sweep always ends up in a polysurface instead of a surface.
I 've loaded the new update and I got complete new layout in 8, thanks.
And for 8: I WANT THE OLD INTERFACE BACK.
Please post an example file with a sweep that works in V7 and not in V8.

That has nothing to do with changes to the interface.
I don’t recall any changes to Sweep2 in V7 or V8 but could be mistaken. Upload a .3dm file with an example of the Sweep2 input curves and results and I’ll see if the results are any different from earlier versions.
Well maybe the problem is due to the malfunctioning of the osnap. I acted weird, something in there isn’t working.
Curves didn’t stick at places you want them to and not in a planar fashion iff ask so.
What also happend was that when i created a circle i coudn’t give a command for its location.
And your right it hasn’t anything to do with the interface, but I find myself realy uncomfortable in the new enviroment. It takes more time and frustration and the fun is gone. So most of the time I work with RH 7.
I’m sorry but that’s just incoherent. Please post specific examples to we can try to figure out what the heck you’re talking about at all.
