Anyone else have OptionsExport take +10min to save the ini file? The filesize is only a couple hundred KB. I have a lot of custom display modes, but that’s about it.

I remember this taking several minutes when I used that a few years ago but testing this today on Rhino 7 and Rhino 8 only takes a few seconds.
At any rate, the recommended way to backup or transfer settings appears to be to copy the settings xml file in %AppData%\McNeel\Rhinoceros\7.0\settings

If you send in your settings xml file, we may be able to repeat this behavior with OptionsExport. I would call a 10 minute wait a bug in Rhino.

Also noting here that originally I saved the ini file to a network location over vpn, which likely caused the delay. When I saved to my desktop, it only took a few seconds.
If saving to the desktop took seconds, it is definitely an issue with saving to the network location. Thanks for letting me know.
If you save a simple 3dm file (like one circl) to this same network location, does it take a long time?
No, saving simple files (50kb) is fast only taking a few seconds. Saving large 3dm files (50mb) takes about 5 minutes. Drag and drop to this location is performing quite slow as well, but a little faster than a rhino save. Still a bit strange that I can save the options ini file (400kb) to my desktop, drag and drop it into the network folder within seconds, but if I OptionsExport directly to the network location, it takes nearly an hour.
