**Hello everyone,**

After a lot of effort, I managed to get OpenNest working properly for **non-perforated parts**. However, I’m unable to achieve the same result when working with **perforated parts**.

The issue is that OpenNest recognizes the **outer contour** of a perforated part as one separate piece, and the **inner contour (the hole)** as another separate piece.

What I’m trying to achieve is:

- To have **perforated parts nested as a single, solid piece** (outer and inner curves treated as one object).

- Additionally, if a **hole is large enough** , I’d like **smaller parts to be nested inside** that hole.

I’m attaching two files:

- One contains my original parts.

- The other shows the **desired result** , which I achieved using another software (that I currently don’t have access to).

Could you please help me figure out how to achieve this in OpenNest?

Thanks in advance for your time and support! 🙏

I’ve had similar issue, but on the food4rhino page there are examples with this situation that can help fix it, I don’t have the file I used to make it but if I am not mistaken, you can group the contours before entering the nesting node and they will stick together.
