OpenGL crash going into Simple Bright display mode

#1

I have the latest NVIDIA drivers for two Quadro FX 1700 cards and am getting a recurring OpenGL crash when using the Simple Bright display mode. Does this seem like a real hardware issue, or maybe a driver issue, or maybe something else? Has anyone else encountered this crash in a similar situation?
Best,
Seth

@jeff, any ideas here?

Sorry for my ignorance, but what exactly is “Simple Bright Display Mode” ? Is it a custom display mode in Rhino? If so, can you export the mode and send it to me… If not, then what is it exactly and how do I use/get it?

In any case, the message you’re getting is coming from NVidia’s display drivers and is usually caused by an unsupported operation by the host application (i.e. Rhino). The text in the message is misleading, but I just think it’s NVidia’s way to pass blame on something that’s crashing in their drivers.

I have a Quadro FX 1700 here, so I’d like more information about your exact system configuration and OS, so that I can try to replicate the problem.

Thanks
