I’m an architecture student and I currently have to produce several topographic models. To reduce the time I would spend preparing my sheets for the laser cut I wanted to try to nest with Opennest. But it seems to me like it’s not working that good to really reduce the total amount of material used? I will join a screenshot with on the right the sheet I ended up when I arranged the curves myself and on the left the one Opennest gave me
Is it because it’s very irregular curves and opennest uses the bounding box or something like that? Or maybe I’m not using the right seed to get the perfect result?
