Old Rhino Windows 11 Graphics not updating correctly

This is an ancient Rhino, Version 4. But it was working correctly on Windows 10. This new system is Windows 11, with both the simple graphics card and a powerful nVidea card. (I need this for a fancy app later on.)

What’s going on: Something that would have been erased or changed remains on the screen until some other action requires the screen to be redrawn. I’m attaching a video: the line is selected, but does not change color until Pan requires the screen to be redrawn.

This is probably something about the graphics configuration. Can anyone suggest what to do?

Aha! Options>Appearance>OpenGL

Turn off “Use Accelerated Hardware Modes”.

That does it.

keep in mind v4, v5, and v6 are not supported on win 11… you are a bit in no mans land using 4 on win 11. There will be no bug fixes and we can only offer modeling question support, we can’t do anything about other issues you may run into.

Don’t forget Win 11 has a compatibility mode you can set for old programs wherein it will emulate older versions of the OS for them. Might smooth the path.
