An offset surface of (0.5) Rhino has trouble running it.
(See how it behaves in this case “FormZ”, from 2:25 onwards, this software can generate a thickness).
We should revise this kind of situation in Rhino.
I had no problems making the canopy with thickness in Rhino as shown in the video. Used OffsetSrf for the thickness.

In particular, I did not speak of this example, but of that before, that you can see in the video to about 2 minutes and 25 seconds.
In these cases Rhino is unable to reconstruct a solid with all surfaces perfectly united.
