When I do offsetsrf on the attached, the offset direction differs, depending upon the surface. Is there any way to get them to all go in the same direction?

Typically when you see that, it means something is very wrong with the poly surface you are offsetting. Not in front of my computer right now.

Exploding and rebuilding the edges, they don’t match:
Fixed that by splitting off the excess on each side and joining - now it’s OK:
