Similar to Offset through point, is it possible to do the same using OffsetSrf, and it’s solid option? I’m often wanting to make a solid which is an offset from a curve, but from its centre.

In think your only option now is to pull the point to the surface and then measure the distance between the two points and then OffsetSrf that distance.
