Offset isn’t working,i think I break it

Hi!!
My English is not good so sorry
I’m trying to learn rhino and i get one problem.
PLEASE CAN YOU HELP ME I’MA DUMB KID SO PLEASE HELP ME:33
I was trying to make house and then I use an Offset and something got wrong(you can in pic) in video that i was watching it looks different(you can see in 2rd pic)

and the Help file for Offset.(start Offset and then press F1)

I see that your rectangle consists of four segments that are not joined.
1- Select the four sides of the rectangle.
2- Use the command “Join”
3- The offset should work now.

I do that but it looks like in 2nd picture,I there are extra lines,it wasn’t look like this i clicked something and then it happend and a can’t solve this problem.I’m closing the program and opening and trying it again but it looks the same.

Hi Izabella - use the ThroughPoint command line option or set a on offset distance at the command line that is smaller than the one being used by the command in your clip.
