Im looking to trim my facade panels with a gap in between as a shadow gap detail. Thinking of offsetting the curves in both directions to form my trim plane, and then trim the breps.
The problem i found is
A - The curves arrangements are not in a sequential order from left to right/vice versa. Is there a way to sort the curves ?
B - The offset curve component returned with no results, though there is no warning as to what went wrong in the component.
Anyone knows how to get this to work? Much appreciated gang.
Hey mate, @Rajeev2 I was trying to get it to offset in this direction( In orange arrow). Which works with graft like you mentioned. But for some reason. there were some funky stuff going on here.
I realized after the curves were joined in the last exercise we did, it became a lil funky, so I tried rebuilding them but the problem persists. My updated Script with the graft tool BRIDGE MASSING.gh (24.1 KB)
On the side as well, I was looking to sort the curves so they are listed from left to right/ vice versa in my list. However, it seems to be jumping queue where i have the points ( that were shattered earlier on ), before it comes back at the end of the list, along with the rest of the shattered points. Any clue why ?
A - I wonder if it has anything to do with the fact that i have an arrangement of cruves from polyline curves, to curves, to closed curves. Any clue how to have they consistently as one type of curve as well ?
the As the points were not in order the mess happen
here i added the thickness to cutter both sides independent and got the intersection with the base surface later i oriented all the lines with the guide curve and recreated a clean polyline
