Offline license *removal* procedure

I know we have an offline license validation process. A client just called and wanted to know if there was a similar offline license removal procedure… Never got that question before.

Reason - they have a lot of offline or highly restricted installs, but they occasionally have to reformat these PC’s and reinstall Rhino. From inside Rhino, they can remove the locally installed license from the machine, but if the machine cannot communicate that to the McNeel license database, the license registration/validation is not automatically reset - and so we have to contact McNeel support every time to have the reset done ‘manually’…

Just wondering if there is an official procedure is all…

I’ve asked that question myself. The official procedure is to contact McNeel and we can remove the validation from our license database. That’s the only way due to the offline status of their licensing.
