Hello,
Could you explain how to use these functions?
I’ve tried with many objects:
- two walls between them,
- a window and a wall,
but nothing happens.
Thank you.

Hi @guillaume.dupas, the vaAddInterferences command works for VisualARQ objects that don’t intersect automatically (like walls with beams, slabs with columns, stairs with walls…).
A window generates an opening in a wall automatically, and a wall also intersects with other wall automatically, so there is no need to run that command between those objects.
You can see more information about this command in the User’s guide: Add Interferences | VisualARQ help
Okay, thanks.
I thought we could use it to automatically eliminate unwanted interference between two walls, for example, when they’re very close but we don’t want them to be transformed (expansion joints), or between a window that’s attracted to the wrong wall (in the corners).
Couldn’t we add this feature?
Thanks.
In this case you can play with the wall joint options, or the “Maximum Extension” and “Cleanup Radius” properties of the walls:
That’s tricky sometimes, I know. You can try to change the alignment of the window/door to avoid it being inserted in the wrong wall. If there is a specific case that is still difficult, please send it over so we can use it to improve the way doors and windows detect walls.
