Objects get selected after copy / paste of a Bake Content component

@Kike, what is the purpose of having all baked objects selected and highlighted in the Rhino viewport after copy pasting a Bake Content component in Grasshopper? _SelNone does nothing in that situation.

The quick way to deselect is by selecting everything in and then ESC or _SelNone.

Any chance this selection could be disabled?

The ‘Bake Content’ component highlights the last baked elements when is selected, but it should unhighlight them when unselected.

It use to coincide with the preview of the output, but if you are lazy baking, lets say you bake and change your input to a different shape without updating the baked geometry again, then you can see what was baked last time or what will be updated if you bake again on this component.

Thanks for the reply.

I see that when selecting an existing Bake Content component. It’s a useful feature.

However when copy / pasting a component, it’s a little different.

The selected content above has been baked with three unrelated Bake Content components.

Below is an example file with originally five Bake Content components. One of the Bake Content components bakes four boxes automatically. The rest requires clicking buttons…

I added a sphere and plugged it directly into a Bake Content component. Baked. Duplicated the Bake Content component and the four boxes are selected.

I don’t see the benefit of this.

Me neither, it is a bug
It’s fixed and will be available on next one.
