See if selecting the top surfaces of your desks and using _Flip on them helps.

You should also try _SelBadObjects to see if maybe objects are bad. I’m guessing they are meshes, maybe even from some vendor - and they tend to sometimes be… not so good (aka rubbish). Usually running _MeshRepair on them will help identify/rectify the problem.
