I was wondering if there is any method or process that anyone has worked out to assign classes to elements in Rhino, or if that has been under consideration as a feature. I do exhibit design, and in my workflow, I’m regularly wanting to have items grouped as layers by exhibit but for their printed display (color, linetype, etc.) to be editable as classes (all graphic surfaces have one color, all AV equipment has another, etc.). There was some plugin for this that was published in 2016, but I haven’t seen anything since then ( LayerClasses - Assign Rhino objects to a specific class ). Would love to know if this is something that may be possible to add in the future or if something like it exists but I’m just missing it. Thanks!
You could use attribute user text fields to define your own custom classes to objects
