I know we can’t transform plants with the Rhino tools.
Not even scaling.
But if I try, then I get a wrong feedback.

Since the trees are grown using an algorithm, the plants can only look at the Z component of the block. In the case above, while X and Y coordinates are scaling the Z coordinate is the same. So the tree is actually not changing.
If you want to change the width of the tree, it is best to edit the tree with the plant editor. Increasing the horizontal on the 2nd or 1st branching level will produce a wider tree.
