Numeric Input Issues

I use Rhino 8 daily and randomly between one session and the next the command prompt decided it doesn’t want to register more than 1 number at a time. For example I type Line command and select a point to start the line then try to type in 15. but it will first register the 1 then the 5. not as if i wanted 15 centimeter line but first a 1cm line then a 5. So for registering distances it doesn’t allow multiple digit inputs. I can do “.5” or “1” or “8” but not “18” or “1.5” or even “0.5” I have no issues with multiple letters. just on distance commands like line, offset, et.c…. I’ve restarted rhino and laptop, made sure I’m all updated on the most recent version.

Any thoughts?

Hi Jason -

That almost sounds like a hardware issue.
Please run the Rhino SystemInfo command and copy-paste its output here.

same issue with Rhino 8 windows. - funny thing is it only happens with a specific file, my main project file. I tried with new file, it does not happen. I copied all object to a new file, then it happens again! Any one solved this issue?

Hi -

In such cases, please always post the 3dm file.
